Worship is not about the outside, and it is not just about feelings. Worship is authentic and holistic and it is done in community. We are to worship in rest. Worship is a response to who God is. Who is God to YOU? Today's message inspires us to think deeper of who God is to each of us so that our worship can be more authentic.
Today we are starting a new series of messages- Worship as a Response. How do you know that you are a true worshiper? Today's message is the story of the ten lepers that received healing, but only one turn back to praise and to worship Jesus. Every blessing that we receive from God should prompt our hearts to worship him.
Imagine God giving you feedback about the worship that you bring to him and that at the end of the conversation you realize that it is not exactly what he asked of you. Romans 12:1-2 paints this picture of the worship that is pleasant to God. Today's message is a call to align our idea of worship with his to enjoy all the goodness that comes out of experiencing God's presence in our lives.
