OUR TEAM

Westside is led by a diverse team of pastors, leaders, and volunteers who reflect the heart of our multicultural community. Together, we live out God’s mission with unity, creativity, and compassion, embracing every culture and language as part of one family in Christ.

Johan Luque

LEAD PASTOR

Johan serves as the lead pastor and has been part of the church from its beginnings in 2017. His passion is to see a church fully alive, pursuing God’s presence and reflecting His heart in our community. Originally from Colombia, Johan moved to the U.S. in 2006 and brings a unique blend of grace and truth to his teaching and leadership. He loves building bridges between cultures and guiding people toward a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Johan and his wife, Ashley, also lead Kambio, a nonprofit empowering underprivileged communities in Colombia. He enjoys salsa music, playing guitar, watching soccer, and spending time with Ashley and their three daughters. Alessandra, Sophia, and Daniella.

Cindy Del Hierro

ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Cindy also helped plant our church and serves as one of our Associate Pastors, supporting the church through prayer, preaching, and pastoral care. She carries a deep passion for seeing people grow in faith and for cultivating a church that reflects genuine community and spiritual depth. Before helping plant Westside, Cindy and her husband, Jude, co-planted an inner-city church in Denver and later founded Confluence Ministries, an organization that connects churches and community partners to serve locally and globally. Cindy’s heart for unity, compassion, and God’s presence continues to shape our church family in meaningful ways.

Michelle Cazas

ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Michelle serves coordinating our outreach and hospitality efforts at Westside, building bridges between the church and the community we serve. Michelle is passionate about seeing the Gospel bring justice, dignity, and hope to those who are marginalized. Before moving to Denver to attend Denver Seminary in 2017, Misha was involved in ministries helping people living in extreme poverty in Bolivia. With her Latin American roots and her background in missions, she brings a global and compassionate perspective to our team.

Misha and her husband Danilson love the outdoors, hanging out with friends, and playing board games.

Sarah McIntyre

FAMILY MINISTRIES DIRECTOR

Sarah serves as our Family Ministries Director, helping bridge the gap between the church and our families. She trains and supports volunteers, partners with parents, and ensures every classroom is a safe and welcoming space for kids to learn about Jesus. Before joining Westside in 2021, Sarah worked as an elementary teacher with a background in Urban Education and has always been passionate about helping children grow in the love of Christ.

Sarah and her husband, Andrew, live nearby and love being part of the community they serve. When she’s not at church, you can find her exploring new coffee shops, cheering for the Broncos or Nuggets, playing strategy board games, or cooking cozy meals with her family.

Nick Hogben & Alena Nelson

WORSHIP DIRECTORS

Nick and Alena lead our Worship Ministry, guiding our team in creating spaces where people can encounter God’s presence through music and worship. Since joining Westside in 2024, they’ve brought fresh vision, creativity, and a deep heart for authentic worship that unites our multicultural church family. Having lived in both Spain and England before moving to the U.S., they bring a rich blend of musical and cultural influences to the team. Fluent in both English and Spanish, they help create a welcoming environment for people from different backgrounds and connect across cultures. Both lifelong musicians who have been involved in music ministries and Sunday worship for over 20 years, Nick and Alena share a passion for developing others, fostering community, and helping people draw closer to Jesus through worship.
