Youth Program
Every Wednesday night we open up our church’s doors for the youth (middle school to high school-aged) of the city so that they can come to play and learn about Jesus. This time is for teenagers to have a safe space to enjoy themselves, make new friends, and most importantly learn more about Christ.
We have a gym for boys and girls to play basketball and a game room with a pool table, ping pong table, foosball table, video games, and a dartboard. Likewise, food and drinks are served and eaten together as a family. This provides a great climate for our Youth Director Karla and our youth volunteers to connect with the children and mentor them.
After playtime, Karla and volunteers from our congregation and community take turn hosting group discussions in which we ask important questions about faith, God, and difficult social topics. We then involve the biblical perspective in the discussions.
The objective of youth night is to be a place in which teenagers feel comfortable about asking questions and talking about anything without feeling pressured into faith. Once the pot is stirred and their brains and beliefs are challenged the next step is to answer their questions going deeper into biblical and theological studies at discipleship night.
