Children's Ministry

We believe in supporting parents as they disciple their children to be followers of Christ. Our goal is to have a dynamic, gospel-centered program that draws kids into a deeper relationship with God and each other. We strive to maintain a safe, encouraging environment that makes both kids and parents feel secure.
We want worship to be a family event therefore all children start the service with the adults. Following songs and announcements, children will be dismissed to their classes. We ask all parents take their children to class and sign them.

Preschool
Our preschool class is for kids from 2 to 6 years old (Kindergarten). Here children are given loving care and taught by trusted volunteers from our congregation. Sunday School includes playtime, the lesson of the week, a craft or activity to support the story, a light snack, and more playtime. Our Preschool Curriculum is God Loves Me Storybooks by Faith Alive Christian Resources. This series takes the children on a tour of the Bible from the Old Testament to the New Testament. Each week they learn a new Bible story and key idea to help them learn more about how much God loves them.

Elementary
Our elementary class is for first through fifth-grade students. Students are led deeper through engaging lessons, discussion questions, and activities. Students are encouraged to find ways to apply what they learn in class to their real lives. Our Elementary Curriculum is Grow Kids by Stuff You Can Use. This curriculum has monthly mini-series that cover a book of the Bible or a portion of Jesus’ teaching in the Gospels. To help students grow spiritually, woven throughout each series are four key spiritual habits: spending time with God, spending time with others, using their gifts, and sharing their story.
Nursery
For children under the age of 2, we offer a self-service nursery. The nursery includes lots of toys, a diaper station, and a live stream of our service. We hope this space allows you to listen to the service while giving your baby or toddler lots of space to play.
Please note our self-service nursery and preschool class are available every week. However, our elementary class meets on the 2nd-5th Sundays of each month. On the 1st Sunday of each month, we invite our elementary students to stay in the service with their parents. This allows our students to listen to a message with their parents, but it also allows them to be present for Communion. For any student who has a relationship with Christ, we invite parents to help them participate in Communion. For students who have not yet been saved, we hope this can be a time for parents to explain the saving work of Jesus on the cross. On these Sundays, there will also be activity pages or sermon notes available for students in the back of the sanctuary.
